If you are posting or sharing a vehicle photo, blurring the plate is a simple privacy step that avoids exposing identifying detail for no good reason.
Step 1: Use a plate-focused workflow
Open License Plate Blur when the main job is hiding the plate cleanly.
Step 2: Cover the full plate area
Keep the blur box tight, but make sure it fully covers the characters and plate edges. Partial masking often looks careless and may still leave the plate inferable.
Step 3: Export and zoom in
Check the result closely before sharing. Plates are high-contrast details, so weak blurring can still leave too much information visible.
Better alternative when risk is higher
If you need a stronger privacy treatment than blur, use Redact Image instead.
Practical rule
If the photo is for public posting, plate blur is usually the safer default than leaving the detail untouched.
